I need this feature too, because in my case the URL will point to a user home
and must be as easy as possible to remember.
It is also my opinion that slashes are more aesthetically pleasing than
ampersands. Complete control of the URL can also make it easier to understand
what it points to if f
I don't think so. As you may know google has been very hesitant (to say the
least) in describing its bot, to make it harder to cheat.

Christian, it was news to me, too, so I tried to find some references.
Don't know how much of it is myth, but a quick google search with "search
engine optimization urls parameters" gave lots of results:

Why is that so and where can I find more information about it?

Having the right URLs is vitally important for any type of SEO or search engine
indexing of your site. http://example.com/products.seam?productId=48484 is a
lot worse than

Well I didn't know there was paper on it. I guess I should have added a (IMO)
somewhere in the "I would like to use this slightly cleaner variant"-sentence.
Can we agree on "shorter"?
Still. I would very much appreciate suggestions... Thanks.

The "http://server/app/action/foo/bar"; URL is more RoR-like. I think you can
easily do this by setting up URL re-writing rules in Apache (if you use apache
to front your jboss server).

http://tuckey.org/urlrewrite? I think some of the Seam examples use this to
get cleaner looking URLs.
