Putting on my Red Hat for a moment, we basically offer this, RHDS being the
last (?) piece of the puzzle:
RHEL + JBoss AS + Supported database + Hibernate/Seam/jBPM/Drools etc. +
RichFaces/Facelets + RHDS
Ok. So we can't offer support on the database itself but apart from that...

Well, use RichFaces (or both).
The ides still would stand... 1 stack... 1 throat to throttle!

Yes, that would indeed be nice. Although it would overlap with RichFaces...

Select Projects tab, then Jboss Seam, then seam-Showcase-1.6.0.zip
There is an example in there of using ice:fileUpload.
For further info or questions, please try the icefaces/jboss-seam integration

thanks for the reply. Do you have any example usage of ice:fileupload component
with seam?
cheers

Perhaps this collides with icefaces fileupload component. Why not try to use
icefaces fileupload component instead if you have this issue?

As of ICEfaces 1.6.0 DR#3, substantial progress has been made with
Seam/ICEfaces integration. In general, it is enough to simply add the ICEfaces
.jar files to turn your Seam application into an Ajax application. Please

I have been dying to try out AJAX in my application. At a first glance,
ICEFaces does seem to be a great solution.
Is there a time line for having Seam and ICEFaces working completely with Seam?
I only noticed on open JIRA item.

Does Icefaces 1.5.3 support Seam debug page and request parameters?
I remember exceptions.
It's great news that two teams have intentions to make two technologies working
well together.
Is it a time to inspect Icefaces compatibility with Seam once again? Or we
should wait for a while?

Actually icefaces uses a delay when sending value change events. So it doesn't
hammer the server with a request on every keypress.

The NullPointerException is due to concurrency in the ICEfaces BlockingServlet.
Unfortunately it appears that the fix will not be complete in time for
ICEfaces 1.5.2.

I have posed the same message over at ICEFaces.
