I am trying to make a direct JDBC connection from a servlet. I have a
file called oracle-service.xml file in my deploy folder where I have set
the maxsize of JbossManagedConnectionPool as 8.

I recently moved a servlet .war file from Tomcat 4.0.1 to JBoss
3.0.2/Jetty. This caused the application to break, mainly because
HttpServletRequest.getServletPath() seems to be returning the wrong
information.
When I invoke my servlet with the URL

I am running default target. Someone suggested that with Jboss3.x you
cannot see the default page.
Why is that so ?

container you must include the ClientLoginModule as
well. Presumably the
security domain associated with the ejb is also
executing your login module

posts I tried to use my own JAAS login module configuration “myDomain”
for the MBean login. This is NOT in accordance with page 276 of the JBossBook_30x
(see below… “the only supported mechanism”).

I switched from Jboss-3.0.2 to Jboss-3.0.3. Now I am getting a lot of
"MethodOnlyEJBLock has been deprecated" messages.
Looking at the source tells me, that it has not only bee

I am writing an MBean which should access my deployed EJBs.
However, when I invoke my EJBs from it I get
java.lang.SecurityException:
Authentication exception, principal=null
so, assuming that a login is necessary, I carried out a
standard JAAS client login from my MBean like this

yes, it works but you need to activate this functionality first. Take a look
at conf/jboss-service.xml, at the end of the file. You need to activate this
particular Order Sorter.
