Something I've noticed is that JBoss actually generates a lot of disk io
even though all messages are sent as NON_PERSISTENT. This seems to be
mostly in the db/jbossmq/file directory and of temporary nature.

What I'm actually trying to achieve is a log simplere. I am trying
simulate a central transaction routing engine using JMS. I know it is a
stupid idea, but I need to compare that with using JMS as a system input
and RMI for internal computation to make a point.
I have 2 setups and I'm not go
We are getting a similar error (see below) from a Stateless Session bean using JBoss
3.0.2.
We are also using the "Required" transaction attribute. The error occurs after the
following sequence of events:
1) create some data using entity beans, via a session facade
2) Shutdown JBoss
3) Restart
Theo, did you try the commons-validation.jar patch? Did this work?
