I've noticed that several other JMS products and projects are now using the NIO library. I wonder if JBossMQ could be upgraded, at least as an option to use NIO? It's a JMX component so a NIO version should be pluggable(?) Maybe a good re-write will fix some of the issues. There used to be a seper
