Hi,
Thanks for the reply Jeremie, I'll be trying it again if the guy who
hosts my domain has time to add the SRV record again (we had problems
with automatic tools so it got removed) :)

Hi!
I've implemented http proxy support for Gabber with continuous CONNECT, PUT and
POST requests like desribed in http://jabber.org/?oid=2047 and
http://jabber.org/?oid=971.
Are there any more documented or undocumented ways to connect over a http proxy?
Especially something like a non continuou

Since 1.2, the servers have used the standard SRV dns record type to
resolve domains into the actual servers that handle jabber. An example
of such a record for bind for domain.org would look like:
_jabber._tcpIN SRV 30 30 5269 servera.domain.org.
The RFC that describes SRV is:

I'll accept patches
Hello,
I'm currently attempting to enable my old Jabber server to
interoperate with 1.2+. The old MX record mechanism was working, but
now I seem to be unable to connect to jabber.com. I recall seeing
messages through this list concerning the SRV record, but I am unaware
as to how to find th

Hello,
since I need to reduce my work for Debian and since Michel already did a lot
of work updating the jabber server packages, I will pass those packages to
him. AFAIK he has already prepared a -ssl and -dev package, so most of your
feature requests should be satisfied with this.
Not sure if h

I sent this message to the jadmin list last week, but haven't received a
reply so far. I just wanted to verify that this feature exists, and if so,
how to set it up.
