I am trying to install Jetspeed in a linux box and I am getting this error
(extract from the installation is bellow
the ojdbc14.jar into the /lib
But with no affect.

I remember having the same issue as you in the past but also performing the
authentication against LDAP server and the approach that I took was to create
my own version of the login valve, and replacing the default class that is
defined for the one I created. This was in Jetspeed 2

You can already do that when you are in the dialog to change the portlet
order/location, it is the same dialog to change the theme of the portal
and the skin of the portlet
