I will describe our problem in another way:
Our jmeter script has a general timeout of 10 minutes and we call the jmeter
script by nagios. The jmeter script makes some HTTP request and some SQL
requests. When everything runs fine nagios will show the results.

The System LAF on Windows is not as nice as the Metal LAF, and I'm not
prepared

We have used Findbugs, which has helped in some areas, but there are
certainly still areas of code which are difficult to follow and
maintain, so if any improvements can be made to the JMeter code, then
that would be great.
As would having some more eyes on the code.
