Thank you for all of the feedback! As Eric mentioned, we cannot
reproduce the problem from within the Weizmann Institute so your
feedback has been invaluable (and simultaneously alarming).
Rolf, I think you are right: this is a problem that started with Java
version 1.6.0_03. Users of Firefox
Hello Jan,
chime associated pdb mime types with IE, thus by clicking on a link
pointing to a pdb file you could launch directly IE.
As far as I know this is not the case with jmol. But you can achieve
similar effect by embedding a web page including the jmol applet
directly into your powepoi
On my linux box (RHEL, WS 4) running Firefox 2.0.0.4/Java 1.6.0_01 (yes,

Also, 1) the front page is 1EVE with the correct view.

Eric and All,
The green links are still not working on my office computer. The
structure on the main page is shown as ribbon, colored by group (N->C
rainbow), with a magenta spacefilled ligand. On the random page the green
ligand links do not work. The java version is 1.6.0_05.

On my Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 system, this works for the green links:
Opera 9.27 + Sun Java 1.6.0.05
Konqueror 3.5.9 + Sun Java 1.6.0.05
I have had no success with Konqueror
Thanks Angel and Xavier for your help on my question of rotating one
file while keeping another fixed.
I have one quick last question. The description for the rotateSelect
command states:
"In addition, if the keyword SPIN is used, the command starts only the
atoms spinning." I was wondering if

Regarding green links failing in Proteopedia.Org:
Four people have kindly reported that green links do not change the
Jmol scene, in Firefox. We greatly appreciate these reports.
We have made one change that might solve the problem. Please try again now.
Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the o
