I am practicing with JSmol:
I have a simple script that loads dna.pdb file and executes a couple of
simple commands.
It works well in Java Jmol, but in JSmol in Chrome JS console throws
XMLHttpRequest.responseType cannot be changed for synchronous HTTP(S)
requests made from the window
right -- don't use Chrome for local file access. See the wiki.

Robert Lancashire points out that Java security has changed with Java 7.21
(build 1.7.0_21-b11).
The default security is set to HIGH, such that Jmol will not run on local
pages.
Setting security to the lowest available setting (of three possible) --
MEDIUM -- allows Jmol to run but still not
