MOUSE
The disappearance has something to do with
rotation by mouse. I can zoom just fine with
mouse. Rotation commands into the Console, e.g.
'rotate y 90' work just fine, as does 'spin on'.
But the moment (or soon after) you start rotating
with the mouse, caffeine disappears.
I can load 1d6
It's a general problem I recently introduced. Will be ok for next release.
reset
gets it back.

Try upgrading to Jmol 14.0.

As stated below, I am already using 14.0.4 in the released version of
FirstGlance 1.98 (firstglance.jmol.org, uncheck the Java checkbox and
enter a PDB code).
Also when I use 14.0.13 (running in Firefox from local files) I can't
get the menu to open.

so something happened there. That flag is set in viewer:

Eric, make sure you have both newer JSmol.min.js and j2s directory.

corrects a few bugs, including problems recently reported with mouse action
and structure disappearing, problems starting Jmol.jar, and a few other
items.
Looking at a release of Jmol 14.0.14/14.1.14 later this week possibly.
