i found out whats triggering the error.
the problem is the pathname provided for the images.
firefox is dealing with ../../pathtoimg
but i.e. is taking hostname plus path. so the if condition fails at
this point.

Both selectors go inside the quotes. Otherwise, you are passing 2 arguments
