I installed the star rating plugin, which works great.
Except for one, that my callback is never called. I tried everything,
but still no relief :(

More specifics:
I added the following function to jquery.rating.js. I want to have a
variable called "permatip" which starts out as the tip from the stored
value (this is connected to a db), and gets overwritten every time the
user clicks on a particular star, via the "select" method.

post. I visited the URL you mentioned but I can't see the star rating
plugin being used - hence I could not reproduce the problem.
