JSP-invoked beans and RMI

Is there any way to register a JSP-invoked bean (or other class) with the rmiregistry so that its methods can be invoked via RMI? Since the bean runs under the web server's JVM, I don't see how to do this, and perhaps it isn't possible; but it seems a shame. My situation is that I have the JSP-i
