I have a web-application I developed using Tomcat-3.2.3. I dropped the WAR
file into Tomcat-4.0 to try it out. I'm getting the following error. The
class it is complaining about is present in the WEB-INF/classes folder, but
I don't understand why it is looking for it in the package org.apache.jsp.
Hello,
Does Tomcat 3.0 support WAR files? I can't find anything related to WAR file
creation and deployment, except one attribute in the server xml file. I'd
appreciate pointers to further info. Thanks!

Please pardon me if this is down a beaten-down track, but I really fail to
understand the point of using servlets with JSP. JSP is one level higher
than servlets and why not just embed beans in JSP to do the kind of
pre-processing that servlets are said to be used for in this forum. Based on

Hello,
Is there any way to take a JSP page and compile it into a Java source file
that I could then use for compilation as I do for any servlet? I tried
looking in the work directory of JSWDK 1.0, but it only has the class file
for the generated servlet, not the source. Thanks!

Namaste to all the JSP Gurus!
Thanks in advance for answering all the initialization questions! I'm using
the JSWDK 1.0 on Windows.

within this method I don't have access to the application object or the
beans that specifie
With JSWDK1.0 I'm trying to define a jspInit in my JSP page and I'm getting
the following error which sounds very strange to me. Any clues?

Mandar,
Is there any word yet on when the FCS version of JSP 1.0 reference
implementation will be out? Also, how will the versions syncronised between
JSP and Servlets? Thanks!

Hello All,
Are there any inexpensive JSP enabled web-hosting out there? Servlets.net is
quite impressive but at 75 pops a month minimum is not exactly inexpensive
for show-casing some JSP based applications. Thanks!
