We are trying to configure MLPPP on a LS_PIC, but we get the following
error message:
[edit interfaces e1-0/2/7 unit 0 family]
No other family allowed when family mlppp or mlfr is configured
Error: configuration check-out failed
In trying to get a connection to work on my Gigabit FIC interface, I
noticed that it appears (if I'm reading the output correctly) that the
interface is offline-
[EMAIL PROTECTED] show chassis fpc pic-status
Slot 0 Online E-FPC
PIC 0 Online 4x 1GE(LAN), IQ2
Slot 1 Online

Did you try to push PIC 1/3 switch for 10 second?
Or try to issue request chassis pic fpc-slot 1 pic-slot 3 online
command from M7i command line ?

I would like to thank a bunch of people that replied to me within
minutes of me sending this question in-
The proper command (from them, and it worked) is-
request chassis pic online fpc-slot 1 pic-slot 3
The system will (or at least should) then prompt you to run the
following command-
You could also try request chassis pic fpc-slot 1 pic-slot 3 online as
well I believe.

I have that on all my MLPPP component links (T1s but should be the
same). The only other difference I see is the point-to-point in
e1-0/2/7 unit 0.

Thanks to all for their advice on this.
There *was* an 'apply-groups' command for all interfaces nested deep
within the configurations (and apparently our memory cells too).
This was not seen with the 'display inheritance' command as (and I am
guessing here), initially (before MLPPP
