Has anyone tried running or are running PIM Join load balancing.
Most of the documentation I have read doesn't suggest it works for plain
multicast?
Thanks

No, there isn't a particular business problem or requirement.
When I set this up in the lab (logical systems) and followed the Juniper
documentation for setting up 6PE the IPV6 prefixes didn't resolve to LSP's.
The documentation says to add labeled unicast with explicit null and tunneling.

next-hops are IPv4, but again, it doesn't matter, only the results matter: it

You don't explicitly "change" the next-hop of IPv6 using policies, you just use
nexthopself and that's it.

Hello all.
Wondering if anyone is using MPLS with IPV6?
I have read on 6PE and the vpn counterpart but these all seem to take into
account that the CORE isn't running IPV6?
My question is how can we get the ACTUAL IPV6 loopback addresses into inet6.3
table? Would I need to do a rib import for

It's not released yet as far as I know.
I know it was supposed to be at least per our SE at Juniper.
Hopefully will have some sort of update this week unless anyone else knows
something.

All,
I am setting up some logical systems on an MX480.
The question I have is, has anyone run across an issue when trying to get sites
to communicate using VPLS b/c of duplicate mac-address?
Pings of course don't work but the control plane looks good but I am concerned
about the mac.

Hello all,
I was wondering the benefit of this command and I guess I need a couple of
questions answered by the brains out there.
1. If a hard-disk fails on a Juniper router (Dual RE) does the RE

We are in the process of upgrading from the aforementioned in the title.
My question is does anyone have a procedure they have used in the past for

We are also replacing the old DPC's for MPC's.

Hello all,
Kind of a general question but just wanted to double check any gotchas.
We are upgrading some of our routers from RE-S-2000 to RE-S-1800x4.
This should just be putting the new on in the backup, letting it sync and
upgrade software as needed and then doing switch over, then performi
