I did not find the bug, but my digikam 7.7.0 works again regarding geodata
entry in photos from GMX files. No further action is required. Sorry for my
false report.

- I went into ~ferry/.local/share/kmail2/autosave
- removed the file there
Started kmail, problem gone.
