You're saying with /ScreenSaver it does? Both paths are handled by the same
exact method call in kscreenlocker and then forwarded to PowerDevil as a
"change screen settings" inhibition.
Perhaps try running org_kd

When the application send "/org/freedesktop/ScreenSaver", the battery monitor
shows "XXX inhibits power management". But it actually behaves differently: it
doesn't prevent screen off.
