is pretty easy
I guess it should be pretty easy to add to kdenlive a module to do so,
simply ask for any track what the offset is and then align all the clips
based on this offset
alas my agenda do not allow me to take more work and I can't do it
myself, but I could help debugging such thing

handbrake have a very useful option ("-O") that set the video index at
the beginning of the file allowing easy streaming

know I can rotate the video, I even can resize it to have all the
image included, but it's still 1080 height, when I want 1080x1920 size
(original is 1920x1080).

I could resize a file (a 16/9 that was erroneously coded in 4/3) very
easily with avidemux using a mplayer plugin. Is it possible to do this

I think it's better to capture as a standalone app, I use dvgrab, that
works wonderfully

of a track (one will build time code on the entire track,

I removed libquicktime-devel and make clean from mlt gives:
