I am using Ubuntu 20.04 (dual boot with windows 10) on Dell vostro 7500,

ahead and did a full re-install. All default options (full format, etc)
except I selected "LVM + encryption"
upon reboot, I see nothing on the lcd at all.

not knowing enough about possible interactions between a much newer
kernel and whatever my problem was, I debated upgrading kernels via
`.deb`s directly from the ppa, versus HWE-edge stack. I decided
@koen (kmaris) , with kernel 5.10.2 ,you can try #311
