Testing 6.4-rc2 now, it seems the S/G mode issue is indeed resolved.
It's been 2 days only, but the new kernel seems really stable.
I'm now running without the "amdgpu.sg_display=0" kernel param.
It seems the tearing issue is still there though, the
"amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10" is still needed.

I think I am facing the same issue with my Asus Vivibook S3402. This
laptop had a keyboard detection issue with stock kernel in kubuntu 22.10
which was fixed using a patched kernel. It still had this battery drain

Happens with me too after sleep/wakeup lenovo x1 carbon gen8 / HDMI LG 27GL850
which should run at 2460x1440@60hz but instead its 1920x1080@60hz.
