While the frequency of this problem seems lowered after the BIOS update,
and updating the Ubuntu repository kernel, it happened again today as
per the attached screenshot of my laptop screen after it happened.
Nothing of significance was captured in the logs.

Looks like a BIOS update fixed this, as it hasn't been reproducible so
far, after putting extra ordinary graphics/processor/RAM stress for
days. Should have eaten my own dog food on a BIOS update earlier (I
thought it was latest and greatest as I checked a couple months back for
