full re-install with no encryption also same result (boots to blank screen, no discernible text or flashes) with a Eg, full default options everywhere. The only clicks besides "next/OK" were: - I ran this twice, WITH & WITHOUT "use proprietary" checked - select "erase disk and install ubuntu"
