I am running a current-updated version of 14.04.
I have a USB to Serial cable with an embedded FTDI chip.
When I plug the cable in, I *think* it should be assigned a /dev/ttyUSB0
slot...I can then map that as need for my application.
I do not get this
Please do dmesg /tmp/dmesg.txt after you plug in the device, and
attach /tmp/dmesg.txt. Thanks!

Public bug reported:
I have nvidia optimus graphics card on my laptop and I am running Ubuntu 14.04
dev version.
While installing nvidia-prime, the installer is asking to remove ubuntu-desktop
package and a host of other packages. Is this normal? I did not encounter this
before. Please see
