Is this confirmed to be a bios issue. I am running the version before
1.2.10 as people have reported issues with 1.2.10 which seems to persist

I was having a issue like that. What solved my problem was disabling (or
unistall) the packet "cups-browsed". Now the RAM use is about 900MB-1GB
when system Reboot and not increasing.

I'm facing a very similar or identical issue. I'm on a brand new Lenovo
IdeaPad 110 with the same RTL8821AE wifi chip.
WiFi works at first but dies after a couple of minutes. If you wait for
a long time it will recover. Ping behavior is similar to what's seen
