Sure. Modern touchpad devices might be attached to i2c bus which
requires additional parameters to be passed via acpi objects. So if you
don't enable acpi, your touchpad may just won't work. And we should fix
your acpi issue anyway. So if possible, please boot without acpi=off and
attach journal
