A while back someone with a 6cly Jab after having same continuing high heat problems, came to the conclusion that Horsepower = Heat and the Jab doesn't have enough mass to help dissipate it...Smart move for Jaburi to sell the cooling baffles/system with Engine, though. Although like the 'ol

I think if I were attacking the problem, I'd go with the system you found that cools the cylinders and then work on the oil temp problem. Some type of oil cooler(s) with blast tubes for forced air. Maybe a scoop on the side of the cowl with a hose directly to a bonnet on the oil cooler. It

Adding a "lip" right in front of the outlet also helps "suck" air out of the engine compartment. Changing the height of the lip increases/decreases the amount of air being pulled out. Ron --- On Sat, 12/5/09, Larry&Sallie Flesner wrote: > From: Larry&Sallie Flesner > Subject: KR> 3300 Jabir

The Jabiru directions recommend the lip on the lower opening plus the outlet opening be three times the size of the inlet. Jim McCormick at Jabiru Pacific feels that there should be two paths for the air to flow under the engine. One small slit to allow air to flow over the sump fins and ano

NetHeads, It's been raining a lot lately but I finally got a shot at flying Friday. I took off work early and got to the airport to18 mph 90 degree crosswinds. The wind sock was standing straight out, but at least it wasn't gusting. Still I thought "I don't have to do this", so I crawled back
