If you have a suspected area you can buy Dye Penetrate in a bottle and brush it on. Does a great job. We get ours from Aircraft Spruce but I'll bet you can get it at NAPA. If you have trouble finding it let me Know we are deals with Spruce and get a decent discount and I will send you a bottle. la.

 I will not use a old style case, if you use a old VW case make sure it is a daul relief case and use the high volume oil pressure relief springs never use a case without it being line bored wether for aircraft or car if going bigger than 1835 then for sure use a new case I prefere the aluminum
