This isn't really KR related so please forgive me. Those of you who were at
the Corvair College at Barnwell last year or this year will probably remember
seeing Michael Oberlies. He is the man who always works with me on the barbeque
for Saturday dinner, he is also a Pietenpol builder.

I never lost my medical nor
the cost of the basic

Mark,
I wasn't there for this photo because it was supposed to be taken after we
left Saturday, but I happen to know that there is a photo of the same beautiful
young lady with Steve Glover that Roy Szarafinski took. They were both sitting
on the ground together and I can promise you that if
at the log section. He will post
some pictures of our visit in a few days.
If any of you live near one of their ports of call, I highly recommend you
look them up. They are a blast. I learned a lot about kR building and flying
from Jim and I am looking forward to using it on my KR.

Mark,
We have been using one in our old Cessna 175 for years and have had no
trouble with it whatsoever. In my opinion it is bullet proof

to have the help of another builder with your experience.

Just a quick question for the group. Does anyone have any experience using
Federal Mogul forged pistons? Advance Auto parts has them for 91.00 per set for
the Corvair, and I was wondering what everyone thought.

I am definitely going with the corvair engine, with that in mind do you

If any of you guys decide to come to CUB on Saturday instead of Friday,
consider flying just a little further to OGB. Matt and I can pick you up
and bring you to our New Years eve Pig Picking. If you have never tried
true back yard pit cooked Bar B Que you don't know what you are missing.
