Not much progress to report on my KR. I just finished flying with a student
4,000 mikes in a Cessna 150 from Factoryville, PA to Manley Airport 87 miles
west of Fairbanks, AK.

I am sorry I did not get back with you. I went out of state for a weekend
wedding and did not get a chance to check my Emails.
I am going to spend a week in Ireland next March and I was wondering if there

I would replace the regulator. That voltage will kill the battery, and many
avionics.

Be sure its not a dry chemical type. The powder creates a fog you can't see
through. Also, keep it out where you can reach it.

Either thickness will withstand the same temperature without being destroyed,
but the 1/8 in thickness will provide a slightly longer time before the wood
heats up. That translates into more time to get the fire out and get the plane
on the ground.

I am going to test knock sensors on my Corvair. The standard knock sensor is
little more than a crystal microphone. It picks up noise and turns it into an
analog signal. The amplifier I am using has variable gain and sends the output

William Wynne's KR2 cowling can be modified to fit various widths. My KR2

Much of the post from William is a recap of old posts so all the information is
there. If the information keeps us all safer as we fly it is great news. To
chang out the crank will not take more than a weekend. It's much cheaper than
maintance AD's on aircraft engines.
