That's what I've been finding. It cost around $50 per year for the rider. I was curious who the best underwriters for such stuff is. The AOPA has discount AD&D insurance for members, bit it looks like the EAA only has aircraft insurance but I could be wrong. At least I didn't see it listed as a be

That's interesting because I've not seem am application yet that does not ask about "other dangerous activities". Standard life insurance will not cover you. You must have a ryder which states that you are a pilot and are flying experimental aircraft or certified which ever the case may be. I have life insurance with three different companies and they all require a ryder to cover you. On average, they ryde

So you guys don't have life insurance as pilots? You know if you (lie) omit this little piece of information, and you die while flying, they won't cover your claim. AND if you tell them you are a pilot and then tell them you only fly Cessna's or something like that, and die flying an experi
