Doesn anyone know where I can purchase some wheel pants for the Diehl gear
legs? I am looking for some like the ones on Bill Clapp's plane.

I am using the diehl taildragger UC (Asuza 5" and lamb tire) with
great plains hydraulic brakes. I was wondering which wheel pants people are
using.

I will vouch for that. I only have the nose wheel covered right now. I
have the John Backer pants and just the nose wheel gave me 8 mph. If I
ever get back in the air, I will get the main gears covered with pants
too.

Don't know about the small ones on grass, but I had 500X5 on my first KR and
it was sweet. I have the small ones on this one and am concerned about
landing on grass with them.

I land on grass all the time with 10x400-5's with no problem at all. But I
don't have wheel pants yet (not that it matter
i use the 500-5 after having smaller wheels and noticed it does run better
on grass
