I'm told there's work on the Zenith 601 (Matronics) list that a KR2S with a
Corvair crashed at the end of the runway somwhere, pilot unhurt. Anybody
know anything about this?

Well, this may just be some rumor started on the 601 list. Supposedly the
guy has a Warp Drive prop. It's probably actually a Pietenpol with a Subaru
or something. You know how the Internet is. Just checking the usual
suspects...

Just fine, other than hearing the AWOS say at one point "thunderstorms in
the vicinitylightning in ALL quadrants"! I've never heard that one
before! It was a crappy visibility day too. I just did one climb test at
