I guess it's time for me to take a stand on this. To me the KRSuper2 has
very little in common with the KR series of airplanes, other than it looks a
lot like it, and shares the name. The KRSuper2 does in fact look a lot
like a Vision, and

I guess I am one of hardy few. I agree that I like the adventure and learning
aspect of the build. I have the Horizontal done. It came in at 18lbs. Is that

Nice to see some interest in this machine.
There are a hardy few of us following in Scott Watts footsteps and having
fun figuring out how to build a brand new design. Remember, the reason
were home builders is because we like the challenge of actually creating
an airplane ourselves.

Better still you can purchase a KR2 that flew until 2005 and now has a complete
rebuilt 2180 VW Revmaster engine for $6500.

Intersting. And how many have flown? I think he was asking for a proven
design, thatks to say you don't have potential. We are in the same process
on the LSA but as a new design still has not been proven.

Aeromax Aviation's other half Bill Clapp, built his Corvair powered KR2S for
about $7,200. http://www.krnet.org/krs/wc/ a long way short of

Hello David,
My first airplane was a KR2. Like most of us the reason was because it was a
pretty little airplane for very little money. It was twitchy but I managed to
fly and enjoy
