Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error caused by a corrupted
archive. Please execute the following commands, as it will clear your
package cache, in a terminal (e.g. Konsole):
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
Then
I've applied the patch from Aurélien to the amarok package.
Doesn't the patch fix the problem?

property on the mpris root interface needs to be kde4-amarok and not
just amarok. This will hint the lookup mechanism to search through the
kde4 subdirectory within system XDG data dir. reopening ...

Befor buying an USB modem for 3G networks I decided to check if
Knetworkmanager allows me to set me this device with minimal hassle.
Unfortunately this was not so - in "manage connections" window I have
all connection types available but n
according to http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_play_audio-CDs
inserting the disc should be enough. the cd should show up in location
collection.
