Public bug reported: Since switching to systemd the Kubuntu live CD no longer boots into a live desktop. It'll boot into ubiquity-dm and on clicking Try Kubuntu it'll kill ubiquity and just show a blank screen. It can't then switch vt at all. I did get it to boot into a desktop once by

Could be in ubiquity or sddm, picking one for now until we know what's up here. When we used upstart it skipped over ubiquity-dm what does that mean? Does it disable that job somehow? ubiquity-dm is for the install without live session mode, it shouldn't be involved in the live session at all.
