I just did a dist-upgrade on another machine and am seeing this same
issue. This machine is not using dual monitors.
Konsole starts in what appears to be fullscreen mode with no menubar. I
can right click and select 'Show Menubar' or press Ctrl+Shift+M, but
nothing happens!
I found the reason

Jordan, are you also using a dual monitor setup?
I was just able to get the menus to display in konsole when using a
single monitor. This might be a drawing bug in either compiz or unity
when using dual monitors / TwinView.

I am also seeing this bug with konsole, with or without unity... but it
has different symptoms in either case.
WITH UNITY: Menu bar drawing issues happen. Here are some things I've
seen happen:
- The menu bar does not draw at all
- The menu bar does draw, but dropdown menus are not drawn at
