Sorry, I thought I would be automatically notified of any new comments
(like kde-bugs) but it seems that commentators are not automatically

I just tried to upgrade again, and (of course) still hit the same bug.

For some rather odd value of the word "fine", yes, they do.
Not really relevant to trying to support large projects for server code
though, which was the point of my original report.

Canonical seems to have chosen to supply kdevelop4 without any option to
install kdevelop3.
This seems to be a grave mistake, for at least the following reasons:
1. kdevelop3 is a released stable product; kdevelop4 is in beta
2. There is no hel

there is documentation. That menu item should surely not exist.

The only "workaround" I've been able to find so far is to run ksnapshot
manually.

anyone else on the Kubuntu-users reflector.

Oh, I hadn't realised that one could receive backports from a version of
Ubuntu that wasn't even releasd yet :-)
I have enabled the backports in sources.list and am downloading these
and other new versions from that respository right now.

I see those files there, but why didn't my system pick them up
automatically? Like I say, I have never touched my sources.list file, so
shouldn't I have automatically received these updates? I've certainly
been notified of (and installed) loads of other updates, but n
I confirm this also, on a desktop machine running a clean install of
gutsy 64 bit.
It worked fine in dapper.
