'adept' is still running (ps aux | grep adept)
as the trace comments suggest:
kdeinit: Might not terminate at end of session.
Killing the process clears the freeze; adept can be
successfuly restarted.

exhibited the same freeze. I installed
libqt-perl and replaced all of the system
generated files/directories in my home
directory ( by removing them after booting

group admin, and removed libqt-perl, then logged in
as the new user. I invoked adept from the command

I have updated Kubuntu as of this morning
(10AM PST), and I can't reproduce the problem
at this point, with or without libqt-perl. I will
wait for 1.91, do a fresh install of Kubuntu
