I have had a spate of these strange messages. Some trigger off my
anti-virus, so I just delete all of them as they arrive. I know the Lists
do not allow attachments, so anything labelled as coming from Arachne that
has an attachment or anything different in the subject line gets ditched
quickly!

they're being sent with an Arachne address (I've never heard of
lace-digests-outgoing @ arachne.com--the address is fictitious) as the
