This is for lacemakers who don't have "Lace" magazine In with my Lace Guild magazine is a flyer from Batsford, they have 20% of all their books at the moment. I then notices that there is a new book out in November 50 New Milanese Lace Patterns by Pat Read. It says the following: This new boo

Brenda, You asked about a digi camera without a moving lense. I just purchased a Kodak CX7300. It is a 3.2 mega pixel. No moving lense. Small. I like it. At first I was rather upset that I didn't get a lense that adjusted for wide angle but when I magnify my picture on the camera or the com

Hi All, I would heartily endorse all that has been said in favour of digital cameras - I love our Finepix whatever-it-is, and am rarely parted from it. So far, though, I have found only one drawback! No. 1 Grandson, Dylan aged eight, had a bike last Christmas, and I wanted to take a picture of

Carol, That "delay" is by no means universal in digital cameras. I've heard that more expensive cameras are much faster. The low-end cameras have a noticeable delay, which is a pain if you're not ready for an 'action shot.' (If you are ready, then you can tap the shutter button a couple times to

I was playing with another feature of mine this morning - 90 second movies. Thought it could come in handy some time to capture what someone's demonstrating on a lace pillow. Now that the brain's down to just a couple of cells, I don't retain what I watch so easily. So to be able to watch it again,

There's a new feature in the magazine this time - the green pages have gone to make way for more colour pages. The information that used to be in the green pages is now in the body of the magazine. I'm all in favour of that now that coloured lace isn't uncommon. But does that mean there'll be no mo
