Hi Sulochona and everyone
I have just now visited your needlelace photos at

First I should say it is apparent how much you like making this lace -
the workmanship *glows* vbg
I really like the innovation with colour, the filling in the 'long

Since the mat has been brought up again..did anyone know that the original
was stolen along with a few antique hankies last year? I found that news
quite devastating. Sharon on rainy, windy Vancouver Island

I seem to have a knack for asking the wrong questions. I hope this is not
another one. I bought a packet of patterns including a vest. The front

I think these all say Bobbin Lace to Wear in different languages.
Hi Noelene, and All,
Didn't Fukuyama also write the one on Tambour Lace?
Cheers,

That's TERRIBLE news! I had not heard that. But, being
something of an eternal optimist, may I simply say that the
good news is... Lace must be considered valuable enough to
steal!! At least by SOMEONE.
It's hard to imagine a true lace afficianado who is devoid

Dear Bev,
Thanks for all the nice comments. The Roses are framed now in a plain dark
brown frame to set off the background mesh, on a beige silk background
which makes the whole thing look quite antique.
I basted each braid in position, then did the sewings where braids touched
or overlapped.
