At the OIDFA congress in Ghent, this dress was discussed in one of the lecture sessions but I unfortunately do not have the print-out any longer but it was essensially as Laurie puts it (as far as I can remember!!). I admire Laurie for her knowledge and the willingness to share it with us all!
