To me they look more like elaborate toggle buttons found on duffle coats
Hi everyone,
A little while ago someone on Arachne asked about Binche bobbins. In sorting
through some of my -extensive- bobbin collection I came accross some packs
of new Binche bobbins. They were bought a while ago for my own use but I use
the slightly heavier Duchesse bobbins. I have poste
In the last few minutes Christine and David Springett have started listing
their bobbins on ebay under Crafts/Lacemaking/Bobbins or search for

The first four are there and bidding starts at 99 pence.

Hi All,
There was a report of some of Margaret Wall's bobbins on eBay several days
ago, and there are now some more of Heather Power's painted bobbins - one of
the numbers is 8191313136 - the others are the two just above it. The
bobbins are made by Stuart Johnson and painted by Heather - and I
I believe that in Parham House there is a picture by Joshuah Reynolds of
a Kangaroo.
The only trouble is that no one had seen a live kangaroo.
So it was painted from the skeleton and the skin.
It looks like a big mouse with too big a feet.
Just thought of that from what you said!
