Size 0.4mm hook works fine in most beads other than sizes 14 or 15 beads.
You have to be careful not to split the thread but it is possible, and
probably the fastest approach

I have been using suture needles - they come with pre attached silk
thread and I put them in the end of my pin vice (the same tool I use for
my pin pricking using a sewing needle with the eye inside the vice). I
use the same suture needles for sewings - what few of them I have tried.

Hello All! I don't use a hook or wire. I use a beading needle with a short
length of thread. I put the needle through the bead letting about 2 inches of
thread hang out of the bead. Take the beading needle around the lace thread and
back through the bead, pulling a loop of the lace thread thr
