I've just found a picture of the Paisley Pear pattern being made. It looks
10 to 12 inches wide, so it wouldn't be suitable. The picture's on page 16
of The Lace Society's magazine 'Lacemaking' no 143 from February 1999. The
caption says there's an example in The Douglas-Pennant Collection in
Abing
