it is used to wash sheep and other animals. It is supposed to
be the purest soap that exists and contains no phosphates or other
nasty things.
I would value an opinion on this where it concerns cleaning lace.

Orvus is available in Canada in feed stores, but only in industrial
quantities (by the bucket full!).
Our lace guild bought one bucket and we are in the process of decanting it
into small recycled shampoo bottles so our members can bring some home for
their own use.
