4 of us here in Melbourne entered the Colorado State Fair, with 9 pieces
of
lace, and I send lace to Darwin in the far north of Oz each year, as well as
entering the Show here.

This, I feel would be one reason why they don't get many entries. Opening it
up to anyone might get a greater response.
State and county fairs were (and many still are) intended

Fair handbook, I'll jump in here...
I've poured over my handbook (which arrived last week), and
while I find that it clearly states that the objectives of
the fair are to encourage the production of goods in the
state, I have found no
valued.
