When you say "that's my possie" (no self respecting Aussie
would say "that is") you mean that's my position. It's
usually used in the phrase "Mind my possie" when you
want someone to mind your seat, or place, while you
go away for a few minute
I have only just resubscribed and have come in on this "possie" By one
definition I am a Possie, ie a naturalized Australian from England.
But my understandung of the owrd is that it is a "place" ie that (pointing
to a seat) is my possie (pronounced pozzy)

Which of course Noelene is why I didn't say "cossie", you've seen me in one,
and there is no way that is going public. Actually I was using Canuck
(which is a slang term for Canadian) with the Aussie. Ca-ussie.
